Key Responsibilities

• Provide intensive respiratory care including operation of invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices as physician prescribed
• Perform ventilator management, including set-up, self-testing, and ongoing monitoring of mechanical ventilation across various equipment types
• Conduct arterial punctures, oximetry and capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, and 12-Lead EKG with basic arrhythmia recognition
• Assist with respiratory-related procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care including tube insertion and removal
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines , including endotracheal intubation via freehand technique and/or video laryngoscope
• Educate patients on treatments, procedures, and equipment, including discharge-to-home instruction, and maintain accurate respiratory therapy records and charges

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to practice in Oklahoma
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Ventilator weaning experience required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision within the scope of professional licensure

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
• Familiarity with PleurX catheter drainage and chest physiotherapy techniques
• Experience performing pulmonary function studies (NIF, VC, etc.) and routine chest x-ray review
