Our staff members are dedicated public servants who care about making Daggett County a better place to live, work, and visit.HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACTAs IT Director, you will oversee technology systems supporting county operations, develop strategic plans for future needs, and recommend budgets aligned with organizational goals. You will manage computer services, maintain a five-year replacement schedule, and seek grant funding to enhance services and public safety. Your role includes overseeing all IT functions, providing help desk support, guiding telecommunications and 911 operations, and maintaining the county website to keep residents informed and engaged.IS THIS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?Qualifications:Bachelor 's degree in computer science, mathematics, communication technology, electronics, data management, or a related field5+ years of experience performing above and related duties; specific experience in related duties is preferredAlternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredKnowledge of interrelationships and functions of various county departments and databases, including county tax processes and proceduresStrong understanding of system design concepts, computer mainframe networking, and information system management principlesProficient in database management, budgeting techniques, and methods for project controlKnowledge of hardware configurations and capabilities, operating system fundamentals, and data communication conceptsSkilled in using G-Suite, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe software, and web languages (e.g., HTML) as well as VOIP protocolsExperience with network operations, server maintenance, and adherence to BCI security standards and the Victim Information Notification Education System (VINES)Ability to manage complex computer system operations and to develop interdepartmental cooperation regarding computer operationsStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMechanical aptitude for the installation and maintenance of PCs, printers, and related hardwareAbility to foster effective working relationships with supervisors, elected officials, subordinates, and fellow employeesA+, Security+, Network+, and/or CASP certifications are desirableReady to lead technology initiatives that impact an entire community?
