The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming, as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results.The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.The Sr. Systems Administrator will be the primary point of contact for maintaining IT infrastructure, providing helpdesk support, and ensuring staff have the tools and technology they need to achieve maximum efficiency. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to day-to-day operations, focusing on end-user support, infrastructure management, and optimizing cloud and on-premises environments.This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to grow with Swarm Aero. Mentorship, continuous learning, and skill development will be a core part of your experience here.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and improve Entra ID / Azure AD, including user lifecycle management, group membership, access assignments, device identity, and directory hygieneManage Microsoft 365 administration across Exchange Online, licensing, user configuration, shared resources, distribution groups, and related end-user servicesOwn Intune administration for Windows endpoint management, including enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, update rings, application deployment, device standards, and troubleshootingPartner on or support Jamf administration for Apple device management and lifecycle operationsOwn onboarding and offboarding workflows across identity, email, endpoint management, SaaS access, device preparation, and user readinessProvision and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and standard user equipmentTroubleshoot issues not only at the endpoint level, but also at the platform level across identity, policy, device management, and application accessManage software deployment, patching coordination, licensing, and baseline configuration standardsMaintain and improve asset inventory, device assignment tracking, and operational accuracy across hardware and accountsSupport access and administration for core business systems and SaaS applicationsHandle escalated user issues involving device compliance, account access, conditional access behavior, enrollment failures, authentication problems, and productivity platform issuesSupport physical office IT operations including printers, conference rooms, shared devices, and other user-facing site technologyCreate and maintain clean operational documentation for provisioning, administration, troubleshooting, and recurring workflowsIdentify gaps in current processes and improve the scalability, consistency, and security of end-user IT operationsRequired Qualifications5 to 7 years of experience in systems administration, endpoint administration, internal IT, or MSP environmentsStrong hands-on experience with Entra ID / Azure ADStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune in a production environmentStrong experience administering Microsoft 365 for end users, including licensing, Exchange Online basics, shared resources, and identity-linked servicesStrong understanding of Windows endpoint management, device compliance, policy enforcement, software deployment, and troubleshootingExperience supporting macOS environments and working with Jamf or equivalent Apple device management platformsExperience owning onboarding and offboarding workflows from both the systems side and the operational execution sideStrong knowledge of modern identity and endpoint concepts, including device enrollment, compliance, conditional access interactions, MFA, access assignments, and policy troubleshootingExperience with hardware lifecycle management, procurement coordination, asset tracking, and device deployment standardsAbility to troubleshoot across multiple layers, from user symptoms to backend platform configurationStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with employees across technical and non-technical teamsTechnical Skills:Identity and Access Management (IAM): Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Office 365 administration (Required)Deep hands-on administration of Entra ID / Azure AD, including user lifecycle management, group-based access, MFA, and authentication troubleshootingInitiative & Adaptability: Strong willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving requirementsProblem-Solving: Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting abilitiesSoft Skills:Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiencesDocumentation-first mindset with a focus on process improvementStrong collaboration skills and team-oriented approachSelf-motivated with ability to work independentlyPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Docker containerization and AWS-based applicationsScripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automationBackground managing and maintaining enterprise productivity toolsExperience troubleshooting and optimizing cloud-based servicesPrevious experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated industriesWhat We OfferMeaningful equity in a high-growth defense technology companyCompetitive base salary commensurate with experienceMedical, dental, vision, and 401kPTO and paid sick leaveMonthly wellness stipendDaily catered lunch (office)Paid parental leaveDirect impact on a critical national security missionA world-class team of engineers and operators solving genuinely hard problems
