Qualifications: Education/Certification: None specified Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to read/check email, check calendars, and utilize spreadsheets Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and maintenance Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies Experience: Two years of experience in custodial services Cleaning Oversee and maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms. Oversee that school building and sidewalks are neat and clean. Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash. Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed. Oversee the collection and disposal of rubbish, and refuse from the athletic fields and surrounding areas Work as needed at after school sporting events and other extra-curricular events. Maintenance and Repair Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of students and staff. Make reports for major repair needs to the supervisor, or campus secretary. Move small furniture or equipment within building as directed. Assist in setting up facilities for special events. Safety Assist with closing procedures of buildings at the conclusion of each shift. checking to ensure that all exit doors are closed and secured properly. Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities. Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to the campus lead or custodial supervisor. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain positive and effective communications and relationships with supervisors and coworkers. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Monitor the work and completion of campus custodial staff Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Tools/Equipment Used: Buffer, stripper, wet and dry vacuum cleaner, hand tools, shampooer and other custodial equipment.
