Details Emergency Department at a Level 3 Trauma facility Patient ratio of 4:1 Mid shift, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM 13-week assignment Floating required, typically to ICU when needed, within scope and experience Uses MedHost (EDIS) EMR system Full uniform required, any scrub color accepted Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC NRP certification preferred 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state and hospital policies Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction/supervision to assigned personnel Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively Administer medications and monitor for side effects Maintain strong documentation practices and adhere to safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible RTO requests must be less than one week per scheduling period Blocked scheduling and 48-hour guarantees are not offered One required holiday coverage in summer and one in winter, dependent on department needs Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-733951.
