School Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a school-based placement in Carrollton, GA for the 26/27 school year ! This is a full -time position supporting a local K-12 district with private duty/1:1 nursing services for a medically fragile student.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Active RN license valid in Georgia
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Pediatric Trach and Vent management
  • G-tubes
  • Suctioning
  • Toileting
  • Lifting
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a non-clinical environment
• Experience working with Pediatric population

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, therapists, and healthcare providers
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Prior school-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
• Implement and monitor student health plans
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned
• Communicate significant status changes to family, school staff, and clinical leadership
• Provide first aid, daily medical care, and emergency support
• Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA requirements
