Electrical Construction Engineer

job summary:
An Electrical Project Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization who will oversee the design, evaluation, and installation of industrial electrical power systems across greenfield and brownfield manufacturing environments. This role drives projects from initial feasibility through final execution by developing scope packages, ensuring safety code compliance, and managing technical teams. Ultimately, the engineer ensures power distribution solutions and equipment are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience, along with at least 3 years of manufacturing or industrial and project management experience. A foundation of hands-on expertise in industrial power distribution design, technical drawing review, and bid specification development. Effective communication skills, contractor negotiation experience, and familiarity with industrial safety codes (OSHA/NFPA) or PLC systems are highly preferred. This is a long-term contract role, and our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

• Investigate project feasibility, scope, budget, and schedule to create comprehensive bid packages

• Evaluate industrial power distribution, panel loading, SCCR, breaker sizing, and national/local code compliance

• Review technical drawings, specify electrical components, and negotiate necessary design modifications

• Supervise contractors and skilled trades directly within greenfield and brownfield job sites

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to maintain project milestones and develop countermeasures for delays
