Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Clams Associates, including tasks such as measuring and mixing ingredients accurately, assemble the Clams Casino dishes. ensuring proper storage of ingredients and adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of all clam equipment.
• Ensure proper product flow, rotation, packaging, labeling, and boxing, keeping FIFO practices in place, and ensuring the workspace is neat and organized.
• Monitor inventory levels of clams, ingredients, packaging materials, and production supplies to maintain adequate stock for daily operations.
• Ensure all team members follow Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) and safety regulations at all times, maintaining compliance with federal processing guidelines.
• Assist with managing inventory by coordinating Put-Aways, Picks, & Pulls, including retrieving products from the cooler, freezer, and holding areas.
• Manage product transfers and retrievals to and from different storage areas.
• Monitor production quality to prevent out-of-specification products and take corrective action when necessary.
• Track production metrics and ensure accurate record-keeping, including WIP sheets for all products used during production.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to Clam Associates, ensuring high performance and addressing any challenges that arise. 
• Troubleshoot any production line issues or equipment malfunctions and work with maintenance and management to resolve. 
• Coordinate with the Production Manager to adjust schedules or priorities as needed based on the production demand and any operational changes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process optimizations to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification preferred. 
• 3+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. 
• Experience working with HACCP protocols and a solid understanding of food safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds using proper lifting techniques. 
• Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment (42&degree;F). 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prevent production line issues.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience with packaging machines like Dixie Skin Pack, Multipack/pouch forming, and vacuum sealing machines. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead and train teams effectively. 
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
