Principal Activities Ability to follow assembly procedures and test procedures for products and subassemblies. Perform product testing and verification to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Evaluate and improve test methods, fixtures, and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability. Troubleshoot product failures and identify root causes during manufacturing, testing, and field returns. Diagnose, repair, and validate Returned Material Authorization (RMA) units, documenting findings and corrective actions. Prepare and maintain complete data packages for production releases and RMA activities, including test results, inspection records, repair documentation, and supporting technical information. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements. Prepare technical reports, test records, and repair documentation. Support product qualification and certification activities at external or internal testing laboratories. Travel occasionally within the United States to test laboratories, suppliers, customers, or other business locations as required. Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to company policies and industry standards. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field. Experience following assembly instructions and test procedures. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical systems. Experience performing repairs, failure analysis, and RMA evaluations. Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation and production records. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation. Proficiency with standard test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and related diagnostic tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel domestically on an occasional basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, medical device, or product development environment. Familiarity with quality management systems and controlled documentation processes. Experience supporting environmental, performance, or compliance testing at independent or internal test laboratories. Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Effective communication and collaboration across departments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements Ability to work at a bench or workstation for extended periods. Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel domestically as required.
