Solution Architect

Location: Remote from Canada

Recent core banking experience preferably retail banking experience.

API, services and security experience.

AWS cloud.

AI/ML experience.

Hands on solutioning experience and must be articulate in his designs to get approvals from multiple stakeholders.

Develop and maintain the enterprise digital architecture strategy and roadmap.

Provide thought leadership on technology trends, digital platforms, and innovation opportunities.

Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of new technologies, platforms, and tools.

Establish and enhance best practices in architecture design and development across the organization’s digital landscape.

Drive digital transformation initiatives by modernizing legacy systems and processes.

Design end-to-end solutions for complex digital projects including web, mobile, API, cloud, and omnichannel platforms.

Create and document architectural artifacts such as architecture diagrams, data models, sequence diagrams to communicate the design to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Define the integration strategy for connecting various systems including CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.

Ensure architecture supports key non-functional requirements: scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.

Lead and support the implementation of microservices, API-led, and event-driven architectures.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, solution architects, and engineers.

Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.

Conduct architecture reviews to ensure compliance with defined standards and patterns.

Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to embed CI/CD automation and security DevSecOps into the architecture.

Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and UX designers to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders.

Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure optimal deployment environments.

Experience: 10 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in an architecture role such as Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Digital Architect in a bank or financial company.

Cloud Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience with major cloud providers AWS and Azure and cloud-native architectures.

Development: Strong background in modern development stacks such as Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and frameworks.

Frontend: Deep understanding of modern frontend architectures such as React, Angular.

APIs: Integration expert in RESTful APIs, microservices, SOA, ESB, and event-driven patterns, Kafka.

Data: Proficiency in data architecture including SQL, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and data warehousing solutions.

DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, CloudFormation.

Security: Strong knowledge of security principles, OAuth, SAML, Zero Trust, and compliance standards, GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS.

Relevant certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, Zachman.

Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects.

Ability to see the big picture and align technology with business goals.

Can articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
