Job Summary:

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT imaging procedures while demonstrating professionalism and service excellence. Key responsibilities include obtaining necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies, maintaining sterility of instruments, preparing requisitions, and communicating effectively with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while ensuring privacy and dignity. The technologist adheres to HIPAA regulations, verifies patient identification, observes patient conditions before and after contrast injections, and reports changes to nursing staff and radiologists. Additional duties include maintaining inventory, cleaning equipment, ensuring patient transport post-procedure, and adhering to venipuncture and power injector protocols. The technologist also ensures QA/QC requirements are met and alerts appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program
• ARRT RT (R)
• ARRT RT (CT)
• NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License
• BLS Certification
