Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Neuro PCU

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Neuro PCU with HCA Healthcare in the Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will play a key leadership role on a progressive care unit specializing in the care of neurological patients with complex, acute, and post‑surgical needs. Working within a nationally recognized healthcare system that operates hospitals, urgent care centers, and specialty programs across the United States and the United Kingdom, you will coordinate day‑to‑day clinical operations on the Neuro PCU, serving as a resource and role model for bedside nurses and support staff.

You will spend the majority of your time at the bedside providing and overseeing high‑quality, patient‑centered care for adults with stroke, seizure disorders, neuromuscular conditions, traumatic brain injuries, spinal pathologies, and other neurologic diagnoses. Using advanced neuro assessments, telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring, and evidence‑based protocols, you will support early recognition of deterioration, timely intervention, and safe transitions of care. You will collaborate closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, hospitalists, rehabilitation specialists, therapists, case management, and ancillary teams to develop and execute individualized plans of care that promote optimal outcomes, functional recovery, and patient and family education.

In this coordinator role, you will assist with patient flow and bed placement, help prioritize and delegate assignments, support admissions, discharges, and transfers, and ensure that staffing and resources are aligned with patient acuity and safety needs. You will coach and mentor team members, provide just‑in‑time education, precept new staff, and reinforce policies, clinical standards, and best practices for neuro progressive care. You will help identify opportunities to improve quality, patient experience, and efficiency, actively participating in unit‑based councils, performance improvement initiatives, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
