Job Description:

Help keep an apartment community safe, comfortable, and ready for residents as an Preventative Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, complete minor repairs, and assist with unit turns. This opportunity is ideal for someone with practical maintenance skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach to resident service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in residential units, common areas, and building systems.
• Inspect HVAC equipment, replace filters, and identify maintenance needs.
• Check plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets, and drains for leaks or operating issues.
• Inspect lighting, outlets, switches, and safety devices; complete minor repairs within your training and authorization.
• Inspect and maintain appliances, doors, locks, cabinets, and other unit fixtures.
• Assist with painting, caulking, drywall repairs, and general carpentry.
• Support unit turns and prepare homes for new residents.
• Document completed work, report larger repair needs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate professionally with residents and coworkers.
• Participate in the required on-call rotation.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Previous experience in apartment maintenance, building maintenance, or a related trade preferred.
• EPA Certification required 
• HVAC experience required
• Valid Drivers License
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC maintenance, appliances, and carpentry.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with a maintenance team.
• Ability to perform essential maintenance duties, including standing, bending, kneeling, moving supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability to work the scheduled hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
