Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will provide anesthesia services in a hospital setting, supporting a diverse patient population across multiple departments. This role requires flexibility, the ability to float between locations, and experience with complex cases including vascular and neuro anesthesia.


Schedule & Shift Details:

• Full-time, Monday and Friday shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Must be flexible with no consecutive days off
• 5x8-hour shifts per week
• Must be able to float between locations, including Moses Cone (main location)
• Coverage needed: 4-5 shifts per month
• EMR: EPIC
• Unpaid 30-minute lunch break

Work Environment & Department Details:

• Hospital setting with approximately 20 ORs performing general, orthopedic, gynecological, ENT/eyes, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases
• 5 NORA locations (IR, EP, ENDO, MRI)
• Equipment includes Drager anesthesia machines and Philips monitoring
• Patients: All ages
• Caseload: 60+ cases per day
• Practice Area: Anesthesiology

Requirements:

• Board Certified in CRNA
• North Carolina state license
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience (no new graduates)
• ACLS & PALS certifications
• Willingness to license for Compact license only
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days

Additional Information:

• Provider must be able to float and support a high-volume case load
• Practice involves working with hearts/vascular, neuro, and pediatrics, though not required at Moses Cone
• No new graduates accepted
• OT pay rate: $214.50/hour; OT hours are not guaranteed and may be canceled
• Holiday pay at 1.5x the regular rate for specified holidays
