X-Ray Technologist

X-Ray Technologist Full Time, Grand Blanc, MI, US First shift (8:00A-5:00P/8:30A-5:30P), Monday-Friday at Grand Blanc office location. Full-time (Non-exempt), 32-40 hours per week. JOB SUMMARY Perform diagnostic outpatient imaging on patients while ensuring and maintaining proper radiation exposure requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Produce high quality diagnostic images and proper patient positioning Operate proper equipment and assist radiologists for procedures if necessary Maintain proper documentation and terminology with knowledge of anatomy Learn new imaging protocols and equipment as needed Input patient data into RIS, PACS, VSDM Observe patient privacy policy and comply with HIPAA Perform routine cleaning of the work area and associated equipment, laundry, and stocking when needed Ensure proper care and compassion with all patients Follow appropriate policies and procedures for exams Willingly perform and/or accept other duties that may be assigned Attend meetings and training sessions as required, which may occasionally be scheduled outside regular working hours Supports mission, vision and values of the corporation QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Completion of a recognized Diagnostic Radiology Program of 2 or more years. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must hold a current ARRT certificate. Must continue to obtain the recommended amount of Continuing Education Credits each year per certification(s). Continuing education in accordance with ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
