About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients including those with Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Pacemaker/ICD implantations, and Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization diagnoses
• Manage and monitor cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and Diltiazem
• Perform specialized procedures including Sheath Pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop
• Monitor patients using continuous cardiac telemetry in a fast-paced unit environment with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Float to other units within or near the facility as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Work within a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced cardiac unit and float as needed
• Weekend availability required - approximately 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome; a local pay rate will apply

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Familiarity with Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication framework
• Experience working in high-acuity or progressive care cardiac environments
• Comfort with managing complex cardiac patient populations and hemodynamic monitoring
