Job Overview Conduct in-process quality inspections of vans, identify vehicledefects, and enter inspection results into the appropriate computer systems.Communicate effectively with production personnel to create awareness ofquality issues that leads to effective resolution. Responsibilities Be able to readand comprehend checklist inspection points and locate the targeted area forinspection. Must have basiccomputer, writing and language skills; ability to enter data into a computerunassisted Be able toidentify, evaluate and determine the severity of a defect based on the VanBenchmark Catalog NQ rating scale Ability toconduct needed inspections in the established takt time Input defectsinto QSYS and on FBK Properly cleardefects in QSYS and on the FBK Be able toinspect FBKs for conformance to stamping requirements Identify thecorrect process owner for a defect and communicate with them Verifycorrection of defects if/when corrected in-station Determine nextprocess step for vehicles with defects (light tunnel/EOL only) Qualifications 2 - 3 years manufacturing process experience Inspection experience preferred Significant MBV product knowledge Knowledge in the application of quality inspection methods Basic computer skills; use of MS Office required Ability to work in teams People and persuasion skills Assertiveness in difficult situations Ability to work with minimal supervision This opening is for Second Shift EXCELLENT COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PLAN WITH 401k MATCHING Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that appreciates and leverages the diversity of our team.
