As an Executive Sous Chef at Datadog, you will play a key role in supporting successful culinary operations with a strong emphasis on commisary and catering services. This position offers a MondayFriday schedule, primarily daytime hours, with occasional evening catered events. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and execute daily culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and service
- Deliver exceptional guest and client experiences through high-quality food and presentation
- Lead, train, and manage a culinary team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and engagement
- Partner with culinary and marketing teams to roll out new culinary programs and concepts
- Assist with cost controls, including inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operational success
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Background in fine dining, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or higher education food service
- Strong knowledge of food trends, production techniques, sanitation standards, food safety, cost controls, and presentation
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, and comfort using technology in daily operations
