Job Summary

Our fast growing, production company is seeking an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Accountant (AP & AR Acct). The role of A/P & A/R Manager consists of a wide variety of responsibilities. This position will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a member of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience in Account Receivables or Account Payables.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee day to day A/R and A/P transactions, including but not limited to verifying, matching, and entering invoices into the ERP system.
• Ensure that revenue is recovered by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments with the Accounting Manager.
• Assists A/P clerk to pay invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
• Attempt to collect overdue accounts via email reminders and phone calls in conjunction with Accounting Manager.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Maintains general accounting ledgers by posting account transactions through the accounting software.
• Mentors AP/AR admin.
• Perform other duties as needed by the CFO/Controller.

Qualification and Skills

• University Degree/College Diploma in business or related field
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Capable of performing accurate data entry with keen attention to detail
• Strong attention to details and accuracy is non-negotiable
• Experience in ERP systems considered an asset, MS Dynamics preferred
• Professional communication and demeanor
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Strong organization skills and time management skills is necessary
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• MS OFFICE skills utilizing Excel, Word, Outlook

Job Type : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : DOE


Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Experience/Requirements :

3 years of Accounts Receivable/Payable


College degree in business or related field ; experience may be substituted

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Bending, stopping, carrying up to 20 pounds may be required.
