Rissman, P.A. is a well-established litigation firm with a reputation for excellence, integrity, and results. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Litigation Attorney to join our Tampa office and take a leadership role in high-stakes, complex matters.
This is an opportunity for an experienced litigator who thrives in the courtroom, enjoys mentoring others, and wants meaningful ownership over their cases.
What You Will Do
Lead complex civil litigation matters from pre-suit through trial and appeal
Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies
Draft and oversee pleadings, motions, and discovery
Conduct depositions, argue hearings, attend mediations, and try cases
Serve as first chair or significant trial counsel in jury trials
Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff
Collaborate with firm leadership on case development and client strategy
Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and results
What We Are Looking For
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
8–12 years of civil litigation experience
Proven ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
Civil jury trial experience is required
Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Experience in tort, personal injury defense, or plaintiff litigation preferred
Prior supervisory or mentorship experience preferred
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on litigation execution
