Join Our Team as an Interventional Cardiologist

Our organization is actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to become part of our vibrant and expanding team at Samaritan Hospital, located in Troy, New York. As a prominent provider of cardiology services in the Capital Region, we are dedicated to offering exceptional, compassionate care through teamwork, innovation, and a focus on patient needs.

Position Highlights

Full-time Interventional Cardiology role (No structural interventions involved)
Collaborate with a team of over two dozen skilled physicians and advanced practitioners
Comprehensive range of services available: Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Echocardiography, Vascular Surgery, and Cardiac Surgery
Shared call schedule: 1 in 4 weekends (covering both Samaritan and St. Peters campuses)

Qualifications

Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
Strong clinical abilities with a dedication to providing excellent patient care
Team-oriented mindset, thriving in a collaborative setting

Recruitment Package

Our organization offers a comprehensive and competitive compensation package that includes:

Base salary range: $600,000 - $650,000
The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, and other potential cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers generally receive a CME allowance along with other benefits provided by their medical group employer. Please be aware that this salary range is in accordance with state regulations and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
Starting bonus: $25,000
Relocation assistance: Up to $25,000
CME allowance: Includes dedicated time for continuing medical education
Generous paid time off
403(b) retirement plan: Includes employer matching
Health, dental, and vision insurance
Paid malpractice insurance: Includes coverage for post-employment tail
Loan Repayment: Our institution qualifies as an eligible employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program
