What You'll Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, guided by your credentials
• Educating patients and families about prevention, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, holistic care
• Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Kentucky
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or related specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
