Quality Inspector - CMM/Romer Arm Programmer and Operator

Leidos’ Platform Integration Facility is hiring a Quality Inspector with experience in Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and portable arm operations. The role requires verifying that machined, fabricated, and assembled hardware meets specified drawing and CAD model requirements using CMM, portable arm, hand‑measuring tools, and gauges. The inspector must work independently in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate closely with engineers to interpret requirements and data. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of CMM experience. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and an understanding of GD&T principles. Hands‑on experience with micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks, radius gauges, calipers, and related measurement tools. Ability to populate handwritten or computer‑generated inspection reports. Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software. Experience with PC‑DMIS, SolidWorks Inspection, PolyWorks Metrology Suite, or Spatial Analyzer is a plus. Physical capability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Experience handling non‑conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Strong written and verbal communication skills within a team environment. Other Qualifications Residency in the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate to Huntsville, North Alabama, AL. Desire for precision measurement experience with complex aerospace hardware. Experience in an AS9100 Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment is a plus. Security Requirements Must be a US Citizen and possess (or be eligible to obtain and maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or a Secret Clearance.
