Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Attorney (BigLaw Firms)

Role Overview

Apply your M&A and corporate law expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. This remote contract opportunity centers on producing accurate, practical legal analysis that improves how AI models reason about transactions, deal structures, and related legal issues. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and annotate complex M&A and corporate law scenarios for AI training.
• Conduct legal research involving M&A, private equity transactions, and related litigation matters.
• Review, comment on, and refine datasets for legal accuracy and real-world relevance.
• Provide written feedback on legal reasoning, transaction structures, and deal documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to clarify legal nuances and contextualize source materials.
• Participate in remote project discussions, iterative quality assurance, and, when requested, the development of evaluation rubrics and best practices.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school and active admission to a U.S. bar.
• Experience practicing M&A law at an Am Law 100 or other leading U.S. law firm.
• Extensive experience with M&A transactions, private equity, and corporate advisory work.
• Strong litigation exposure in corporate or transactional contexts.
• Experience with legal research, drafting, and reviewing transaction documents.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver meticulous, high-quality work using remote collaboration tools.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $140 to $400 per hour.
