Moderate The facility is receiving a steady flow of submissions - a good time to get yours in Description American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift observation unit position requiring an active MA RN license and strong telemetry experience. Details Work in a 10-bed telemetry observation unit for patients being ruled out for various medical diagnoses, typically 24-48 hour stays Patient population is primarily medical with occasional surgical overflow, no medication drips administered Every other weekend and holiday rotation required On-call requirement of 5-6 night shifts in a 6-week period, 22:00-07:00 Floating required within scope to Med/Surg Tele units as needed Uses Cerner EMR, experience preferred but not required Acute care hospital setting with 127 staffed beds Requirements Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required, 3 years strongly preferred Strong telemetry skills with ability to function autonomously Proficient in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias First-time travelers considered only with 2-3 years of experience and either Epic or Cerner charting experience Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care to observation patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management Local candidates accepted Return staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler Scrub requirements allow any color scrubs except jean material; business casual or scrubs for case management staff Finalized RTO must be submitted upfront and cannot be added after signing Standard contract length is 14 weeks These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
