Dental Insurance & Billing Coordinator

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery & General Dentistry practice looking for an insurance billing coordinator:

Pay is based on experience. 401K and PTO available.

We are looking for a motivated and professional person to join our growing team! We are a high-tech, fast-paced, privately owned dental practice. You must possess 2+ years of experience in the dental field and have experience with Open Dental/Dentrix or similar dental software. Required experience with Oral Surgery, Dental, and Medical insurance billing and coding.

Compensation/Benefits:

• We offer competitive wages, 1 week vacation after 6 months.
• After 1 year of employment:
• 2 weeks vacation + 3 sick days.
• 401K at 3% unmatched, plus year-end profit sharing.
• No evenings or weekends.

Requirements:

• Oral Surgery, dental, and medical insurance billing experience is required.
• Experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgical assistance and X-ray certification is required.
• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Determination and persistence in submitting and appealing claims.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with a team.
• Strong focus and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and anticipation skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs as required.

Responsibilities:

• This position oversees, submits, tracks, and records all insurance billing for this two-doctor practice.
• Submit electronic and manual claims.
• Enter insurance payments and explanation of benefits into patient charts.
• Monitor the insurance aging report.
• Collect insurance checks from patients.
• Send patient statements in cases that are warranted.
• Help maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
