Bartender/Server Greet and seat guests, present menus, and provide knowledgeable food and drink recommendations Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system Prepare and serve drinks, including cocktails, beer, and wine, to recipe and presentation standards Restock and rotate bar inventory Have knowledge of how to handle allergies and dietary restrictions Run food and drinks promptly, ensuring accuracy and proper presentation Handle guest checks, payments, and cash/card transactions accurately Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns or complaints promptly and professionally Communicate clearly with kitchen and other front-of-house staff during service Reset and clean tables a/o bar between guests Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service Check IDs and monitor alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service Assist with opening/closing side work Uphold all responsible alcohol service and health code standards Requirements Prior serving and/or bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred Working knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and craft beer service Ability to work long hours on your feet in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong multitasking and time management skills Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent guest service skills Positive, can-do attitude Team-oriented attitude with clear communication skills Responsible Alcohol Service certification (or willingness to obtain) Must meet minimum legal age to serve alcohol per state law Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods What We Offer Competitive pay plus tips Employee meal discounts Opportunities for growth within the front-of-house team A supportive, high-energy team environment \nCompany Description Paragon is an Italian and American gastropub based in Clark, New Jersey, known for its welcoming atmosphere and focus on quality food and drink.
