Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/27/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiac and Stroke Unit Night shift available: 3x12‑Hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Must be willing to work every other weekend and selected Mondays and Fridays within a 6‑week period. Location City and State to be determined by the hiring process. Assignment Duration This is a 13‑week contract position. Job Description Join our dynamic cardiac and stroke unit, where you will provide high‑quality nursing care to a diverse patient population. This challenging and busy unit specializes in pre‑and post‑operative care for cardiac procedures, including pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterization. You will work closely with a team lead to manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently. Responsibilities Provide care for cardiac and stroke patients with a 1:5‑6 patient ratio. Administer cardiac drips and manage telemetry for stable pre/post procedure patients. Participate in the care of COVID‑positive patients utilizing opti‑flow and BIPAP when necessary. Document patient care using EPIC system and maintain effective communication through SBAR. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar high‑acuity unit. Current RN license; Compact license eligible for submittal. Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH. Experience with telemetry and vascular procedures is preferred.
