Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity making a meaningful impact in the lives of students. We're seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to serve in an onsite role for the current academic year, supporting students at a single, well-resourced campus. With three full-time positions available, you’ll directly influence Middle or Elementary School learners with either emotional disabilities or functional/life skills needs.
Your expertise will help shape learning outcomes, foster independence, and encourage positive development in a supportive educational environment. Enjoy the ability to focus on one location, collaborating closely with a passionate team of educators and specialists.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Special Education certification (KS SPED Cert required)
- Experience working with students with emotional or functional/life skills disabilities at Elementary or Middle School levels
- Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills
- Commitment to compassionate, student-centered education
- Ready to begin as soon as possible and serve through May 27, 2027
Your Role:
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support tailored to the unique needs of your assigned students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, school counselors, and parents to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
- Foster a safe, nurturing learning environment conducive to growth and participation
- Engage in ongoing professional development
