As a Special Education Teacher, you will design and implement individualized instruction that addresses each student’s unique learning needs. Draw upon your expertise to foster growth, inclusivity, and engagement among students with diverse abilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students (grades K-4 preferred)
- Strong background in delivering both push-in and pull-out instructional models
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and monitor IEPs, track student progress, and maintain detailed records
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in both general education classrooms (push-in) and specialized settings (pull-out)
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to meet students’ learning goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, support staff, and families
- Guide paraprofessionals and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
- Conduct assessments, gather data, and participate in IEP meetings
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
