Qualifications Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Budget Management OR BA/BS Degree in Budget Management Professional knowledge and experience managing the administrative section for a USGS Water Science Center. Experience in working with DOI financial systems and understanding of the USGS Water Science Center operations. Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint Duties Provide expertise, training, and assistance in a variety of administration functions that are critical for managing a Water Science Center. Train and mentor existing Center staff in administrative tasks as well as any newly hired administrative staff that may come on-board in the next year.The Upper Midwest Water Science Center is committed to providing reliable and unbiased information on water resources to the public, partners, and stakeholders. Maintaining administrative functions is key to the success of the Center. The Center has 3 primary offices located in Madison, WI, Lansing MI and St. Paul, MN. Provide expert services on administrative and budget related activities associated with managing a Water Science Center for the Center Director and Center Section Chiefs.70% Provide expert services on managing an administrative section for a Water Science Center for the Center Director and Center Section Chiefs20% Train existing and potentially new Center staff on different administrative tasks.10% Other Physical requirements: Work is primarily performed in an office type setting or could be performed in a remote setting such as the employee's home.
