Role Description The Lead Electrician is a full-time, on-site role based in Franklin Square, NY. This position is responsible for planning and performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential and commercial settings, ensuring all work meets local codes and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting complex problems, overseeing job site workflow, and guiding junior electricians and helpers. The Lead Electrician will coordinate with project managers and customers, document work performed, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electricity and practical electrical work skills applicable to residential and commercial environments. Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair, including installing, upgrading, and servicing electrical systems and components. Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities to identify, analyze, and resolve electrical issues safely and efficiently. Understanding of electrical engineering principles as they relate to system design, load calculations, and code compliance. Valid New York State Drivers License Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Proven leadership skills, including supervising crews, delegating tasks, and mentoring less experienced team members.
