Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Montana or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in PACU specialty required
• Epic charting experience required
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and adhere to service behavior standards
• Returning staff must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
• Background check and drug screen results required prior to start; candidates must report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
