Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Task Order: HBITS-07-14345
Agency: State of New York – Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) 
Location: Hybrid – Albany, NY
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: Depends on experience

 

Overview:
This position involves creating and maintaining software development artifacts and communicating requirements through various methods. A strong understanding of application interdependencies and the ability to perform impact analysis and risk assessments are essential.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience eliciting and analyzing business needs, converting them into functional/non-functional requirements
• Experience creating artifacts like context diagrams, use cases, swim lane diagrams, and wireframes
• Skilled in conducting workshops, JAD sessions, and walkthroughs
• Experience in test plan creation, UAT coordination, and requirements management lifecycle
• Exposure to application/data integration initiatives

Day-to-Day Tasks Include:

• Collaborating with project managers and technical teams through the SDLC
• Working with stakeholders and SMEs to elicit, validate, and document requirements
• Creating process flows, use cases, and business requirements documentation
• Conducting workshops and requirements sessions
• Managing requirements traceability and supporting UAT
