Job Title

Surgical Technician - Travel (CVOR)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Three 12-Hour Shifts) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures, including open heart surgery and heart failure cases
• Support surgical teams during lung and heart transplant procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and equipment for each case
• Fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled by the department
• Participate in weekend coverage as required by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in open heart surgery and heart failure cases
• Ability to fulfill on-call and weekend shift requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with lung and heart transplant procedures strongly preferred
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
