Job Title

Surgical Technician – Travel (CVOR)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures including open heart surgery and heart failure cases
• Support surgical teams during complex cardiothoracic procedures with a high degree of technical proficiency
• Fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled by the department
• Meet weekend shift requirements as part of the standard rotation
• Maintain sterile field integrity and adhere to all surgical safety protocols throughout procedures

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in open heart surgery and heart failure cases

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with lung and/or heart transplant procedures
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
