Accounting Manager Full Time Management Cleveland, OH, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1185 Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually Summary The successful candidate in this Accounting Manager role will be responsible for certain accounting and analysis for the Company. This highly visible role oversees and maintains processes to produce timely financial information in an internal control environment that protects company property and minimizes risk. The Accounting Manager provides support to others within the department, the executive team, and cross functionally as needed. Key Responsibilities Work with cross departmental teams to problem solve and determine the correct accounting for the Company’s activities. Continually improve the Company’s internal control environment and ensure that internal controls function as expected. Create and maintain documentation for accounting processes. Work with the purchasing department to establish processes and manage unusual transactions in areas that have an accounting impact. Ensure that the Company produces invoices and recognizes revenue according to the applicable contracts and GAAP. Serve as system administrator of NetSuite, the Company’s ERP system. Interact with business operations to understand their needs and make sure this role’s areas of management are meeting those needs. Prepare and maintain documentation for business and accounting transactions. Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and develop solutions to business and financial problems. Develop reports to analyze monthly/quarterly/annual revenues, margins and expenses. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Investigate variances from prior periods and expectations. Prepare various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management. Maintains knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and procedures. Manage annual financial reporting and review. Participate in various special projects, as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of public accounting CPA strongly preferred High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook). A professional, confident, reliable, trustworthy, and positive demeanor. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Action and detail oriented. Ability to analyze processes and implement improvements and internal controls where necessary. Demonstrated ability to: work and adapt in an evolving-priority environment establish and follow processes and protocols meet deadlines and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously learn software tools/applications exhibit high integrity with confidential information. Working Conditions + Physical Requirements This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. Regular, in-person attendance at FIT Technologies Headquarters during standard business hours is required to perform the essential function of this role. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and participating in in-person meetings. Specific scheduling expectations will be determined by leadership based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work to support meetings, events, or deadlines, occasional work weeks of more than 40 hours.
