Ongoing Recruitment: Assistant State's Attorney The Office of the State’s Attorney for Wicomico County is seeking to hire an Assistant State’s Attorney to prosecute criminal cases. The ideal candidate should have experience advising and supporting police agencies, managing special programs such as the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network, Child Advocacy, Opioid Task Force, and Drug Task Force Operations. The office is located in Salisbury, Maryland, and employs approximately eighteen prosecutors. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package from Wicomico County. Qualifications Must possess a Maryland License to Practice Law. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Extensive knowledge of Maryland laws and Federal statutes. Familiarity with legal research methods and materials. Knowledge of legal office procedures. Ability to establish effective relationships with court officials, legal professionals, and the public. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle trial litigation. Prior experience as an Assistant State’s Attorney is preferred but not required.
