Job Overview DEPCOM Power has immediate openings for Safety Specialists across the U.S. The role requires approximately 95% travel and focuses on cultivating an EH&S environment that encourages collaboration and adherence to safety standards. Safety Specialists help embed a safety culture with the highest standards and gain experience in OSHA regulations, state and local laws, and company policies. Location Construction site anywhere in the U.S. Responsibilities Assist PSM with facilitating Safety & Health training for employees, contractors, etc. Support the planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, federal rules and regulations including OSHA and DOT. Maintain knowledge of all internal Koch/DEPCOM EHS Standards and relevant state and federal environmental law. Aid incident investigations, root cause analysis, and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence and recommend corrective measures. Foster an EHS environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees. Conduct walk‑through inspections of field job sites to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe acts performed by employees. Assist with managing site risks including facilitating risk assessments, JSA/JHA reviews, and PPE assessments. Provide appropriate care and support for onsite injuries within the standard of care. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Safety (EHS). Minimum 5 years of experience on a construction safety project as a titled safety professional and completion of the OSHA 500 Training course. CHST designation with at least 4 years in a construction safety role as a titled safety professional. Prior experience with site safety. Preferred State certification for EMT or Paramedic or National EMT certification (NREMT).
