Youth Basketball & Group Experience Specialist

The Cleveland Charge, NBA G League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, are seeking an outgoing and hardworking Youth Basketball & Group Experience Specialist within the ticket sales team. This role is focused on generating ticket sales revenue through group sales with an emphasis on the areas of youth basketball and youth sports, season ticket membership sales, and partial ticket plans while delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is equal parts salesperson and experience-maker someone who's energized by prospecting new business and just as energized by seeing it through: helping a youth basketball team take the court pre-game, a choir sing the National Anthem, a Scout troop present the colors, or a group celebrating a birthday take their moment in the high-five tunnel with the team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Generate new group sales through prospecting, high-volume cold calling, outside appointments, and creative campaigns.
• Maintain and grow revenue driving relationships in the Northeast Ohio youth basketball space.
• Become the face of the Charge within the youth basketball community by attending meetings, events, games, tryouts, coaching opportunities, etc. at local gyms to continue to build the Charge brand and network.
• Create and implement new revenue driving basketball initiatives (i.e. adult league basketball, girls basketball, etc.).
• Set meetings with key decision makers of community and corporate groups.
• Develop meaningful relationships with current clients for group outing renewals and referral leads.
• Provide a high level of service to all accounts.
• Work all Cleveland Charge home games as well as select outside events.
• Cross-sell and upsell clients into other Charge product lines (e.g., memberships, premium) and other REG properties' product lines as appropriate.
• Meet all activity and sales goals.
• Assist with creative concepts for group sales materials, including brochures, flyers, digital content, and other support materials.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools for regular pipeline reviews with leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree requiredpreferably in Sports Management/Business, Sales, Marketing, or Communication.
• Minimum of 1+ year(s) of experience in sports sales or event sales is preferred.
• Must project professional confidence.
• Being coachable with a positive attitude is a must.
• Must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal), a high degree of professionalism, competitive energy, relentless work ethic, flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays, with the ability to work all home Charge games.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $32,500 + Overtime Pay + Commission.
