Medical Surgical Floor Nurse located in Wausau, WI. This 13-week contract involves working 12-hour day shifts, with responsibilities on a general medical and surgical unit. The role requires providing patient-centered care, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse
• Location: Wausau, WI
• Schedule: 12-hour days, shifts beginning at 7:00 AM and ending at 7:30 PM, guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• End Date: 01/02/2027
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS certification from AHA or ARC, minimum of 2 years of experience, trauma level II experience highly preferred, charting experience with EPIC required
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Additional Information:
  • Float to all inpatient units as needed
  • On-call/call-back hours may include low census hours in 4 or 8-hour increments, not considered on call
  • Every other weekend and holiday required; holiday rotation required
  • Able to manage independently, adaptable, and collaborative with team members
  • Scrub colors may be any color
  • During flu season, travelers who decline vaccination must wear a mask at all times in accordance with policy
