Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies focusing on both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish a cohesive approach to care.
• Provide education for patients and families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process.
• Uphold precise and prompt documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue professional growth by staying updated on the latest advances in the field through continuous education and peer collaborations.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
