Chemistry Technician – Crete Analytical Laboratory The incumbent will perform chemical analysis of food, pharmaceutical, and other samples, ensuring accurate, timely results while maintaining a clean, safe laboratory environment. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze samples for protein, moisture, fat, ash, macro‑ and micronutrients, and other components. Compost, grind, and otherwise prepare samples per SOPs. Extract target analytes, create and maintain standards and reagents. Record and label samples, calculate results and interpret data. Track test status, report non‑compliance, and support laboratory workflow. Maintain LIMS entries and quality documents. Perform routine instrument preventive maintenance and cleaning. Assist and train other analysts as needed. Adhere to safety policies, participate in cleanliness schedules, and handle materials up to 50 lb. Support quality & continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Associate’s degree with one or more years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree. Basic knowledge of chemistry and experience with wet and instrumental procedures. Analytical skills and ability to interpret microorganism concentrations. Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System. Physical dexterity for sample manipulation. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $18.50 USD.
