A pharmacy professional with experience in retail and community settings is needed for per diem coverage supporting a managed FQHC/340B pharmacy located in Keokuk, IA. This assignment requires a licensed pharmacist capable of overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures and supervising pharmacy technicians. The role offers the opportunity to engage with a strong team in a supportive environment utilizing the Datascan by WinPharm system.
Location: Keokuk, Iowa (near the Illinois state line, SE corner of Iowa)
Schedule:
- Monday 6/22 to Friday 6/29
- 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break
Responsibilities:
- Manage retail/community pharmacy operations throughout the assigned week
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory guidelines
- Assist in opening and closing the pharmacy each day
- Provide excellent patient-centered pharmaceutical care
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Iowa pharmacist license
- Experience in retail or community pharmacy settings
- Previous supervisory experience, including managing pharmacy technicians
- Prior exposure to 340B program operations is highly preferred though not mandatory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems, preferably Datascan by WinPharm
Additional Details:
- Strong pharmacy technician support will be provided
- Travel arrangements and reimbursements available for those located more than 90 miles from the site, including mileage reimbursement, meal stipends, and hotel accommodations
