Welders WantedDerrick Corporation is seeking welders to join our team! You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision. You'll read blueprints, operate welding equipment (MIG/TIG/Stick), and ensure top-quality, safe results on every project. Technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are a must. This year, 2026 marks our 75th year in operation, which speaks to our enduring legacy and global presence.ResponsibilitiesMeasure, cut, and shape metal components using hand tools, plasma cutters, or metal-cutting machinesInterpret blueprints & CAD drawings to determine project requirementsFamiliarity working with multiple filler metals and shielding gasPerform welding operations, primarily GMAW and FCAW with occasional GTAW and SMAW to join metal partsSet up, operate, and maintain welding equipment safely and efficientlyInspect and test welds to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standardsApply knowledge of metallurgy and material properties to select appropriate welding methodsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree welcomed)Vocational/technical welding training preferredAbility to pass WQTR (Welder Qualification Test Record) test specific to various Derrick welding proceduresUnderstanding of basic welding processes: GMAW, GTAW, and FCAWMechanical aptitude to utilize hand and power toolsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on your ownAbility to work in various roles and environments, sometimes under challenging conditionsKnowledge of safety protocols and relevant building codesTeamwork skillsPositive attitudeDriver's License highly preferredDerrick Corporation has a standard work week of 47.5 hours. Associates are also paid overtime daily for anything over 8 hours.DAY SHIFT: 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday.NIGHT SHIFT: 9pm – 7am Sunday - Thursday.Full-time and non-exempt.
