The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale data center construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Familiarity with semiconductor or highly controlled manufacturing environments is preferred, as the role requires attention to detail, quality standards, and complex MEP systems typical of mission-critical facilities.

** Key Responsibilities: **

• Support day-to-day project operations, including coordination between field teams, subcontractors, and design teams
• Assist in managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Track project progress, schedules, and deliverables to ensure alignment with milestones
• Coordinate with MEP trades, with emphasis on electrical, mechanical, and process systems
• Assist in procurement activities, including material tracking and vendor coordination
• Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
• Participate in project meetings, prepare reports, and maintain accurate project records
• Support commissioning and turnover processes, including punch lists and closeout documentation
• Assist in resolving field issues and coordinating solutions with engineering and construction teams

** Qualifications: **

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 2–5+ years of experience in construction or project engineering roles
• Experience working on data center, semiconductor, or other mission-critical/cleanroom environments preferred
• Familiarity with construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications)
• Basic understanding of scheduling and cost tracking

** Preferred Experience: **

• Exposure to semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, or high-tech manufacturing environments
• Experience with data center infrastructure (power distribution, cooling systems, redundancy systems)
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and turnover requirements
• Experience working with general contractors or specialty subcontractors (mechanical, electrical, or process piping)

** Technical Tools (Preferred): **

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project) is a plus

** Work Environment: **

• Primarily site-based on an active data center construction project
• May require working in controlled or high-spec environments similar to semiconductor facilities
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven, and team-oriented setting
