Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position is based in a regional advanced cardiac hospital, focusing on adult and pediatric patients with high-acuity conditions such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, resuscitation, and other critical events. This role involves providing independent, complex nursing care within an acute clinical setting, utilizing comprehensive assessment and intervention skills to meet patient needs effectively. Job Details Position Title: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Regional advanced cardiac hospital Schedule: Evenings, 3PM - 3AM (12-hour shifts), minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications, RN license in state of TX or compact, minimum 1 year of experience in ER or related nursing specialty Additional Information: The ER Nurse provides routine and advanced care, assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient progress. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, documenting patient information, and educating patients and families. New hires must attend orientation within the first 30 days, participate in precepted training, and complete annual competency requirements.
