Make an impact supporting students and educators as a valued School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near Houston, TX. This contract position is ideal for professionals ready to put their assessment, counseling, and intervention skills to work within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments and eligibility determination
- Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and consultation skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to provide counseling and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Experience navigating multi-disciplinary teams and crisis intervention a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for students, teams, and families
- Participate in eligibility meetings, developing recommendations for appropriate supports or services
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and administration to enhance learning environments
- Design and monitor interventions for academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional support
- Facilitate small group and individual counseling sessions as needed
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ mental health and educational success
- Maintain confidential, accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
