About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Charge nurse experience preferred. License: Must have a valid state nursing license. Certifications: BCLS Basic AWHONN Must-Have: Experience in labor and delivery. Knowledge of fetal heart monitoring. Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Use of external fetal monitoring. Description: The registered nurse will work in a labor and delivery setting. The nurse will provide care to patients during the labor and delivery process. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1:1 to 1:2. Experience with first-time parents is welcomed. The position requires every other weekend availability. The clinician may float to the postpartum mother/baby unit as needed. No on-call duty is required. The patient demographics include neonates and adults. Daily census will range from 120 to 150 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Basic AWHONN certification is required if floated to the mother/baby unit. No high-risk patient monitoring required. All certifications and licensure specified must be submitted for consideration.
