Principal Engineer For Embedded Linux

Highly experienced engineer (Principal / Sr. level) with experience in low level (BSP & device drivers) and platform / kernel level software in a Linux environment. The engineer will be developing device drivers for a variety of analog sensors and creating/updating communication drivers (CAN, BlueTooth, Wifi).

Required Skills:

• BSP & kernel development experience in Embedded Linux (preferable using Yocto)
• Experience in Dockers and containers.

Job Duties:

• Looking for a highly experienced engineer (Principal / Sr. level) with experience in low level (BSP & device drivers) and platform / kernel level software in a Linux environment. The person will be setting up a Toradex distribution of Embedded Linux on a platform based on a NXP's i.MX 8M computer module.
• The engineer will be developing device drivers for a variety of analog sensors and creating/updating communication drivers (CAN, BlueTooth, Wifi).
• In addition, the candidate will be supporting the generation of avionics applications using Dockers and containers technology.

Job Requirements:

• Implementing a Toradex Embedded Linux Distribution: This involves setting up the distribution on a platform powered by an NXP i.MX 8M computer module.
• Developing and Enhancing Device Drivers: You will develop new device drivers for various analog sensors and update existing communication drivers, including CAN, Bluetooth, and WiFi functionalities.
• Supporting Avionics Application Development: The role requires supporting the creation and maintenance of avionic applications utilizing Docker and container technologies.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with Toradex computer module and Linux distribution is a big advantage.
• Experience in Avionics environment (DO-178B/C).
