Patient Relations Representative

You'll find a collaborative team of coworkers and providers, as well as consistent hours.This role offers:A great work/life balanceNo weekends or evenings – Monday thru FridayPaid holidays and paid time offRapidly growing team with opportunities for advancementCompetitive compensationBenefits packageDuties you will be responsible for:Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate personnelSchedule, confirm, and cancel office appointments as patients call in.Work on referrals and import demographics from the patient portal.Pick up voicemail messages on a daily basis.Verify patients health plan benefits & obtain authorization, if needed.Assist patients with questions and/or concerns regarding proceduresCollect all applicable co-payments, coinsurance, deductibles, or outstanding balances from the patient & post all payments collected.Research & assist patients with questions regarding balances including collecting applicable payments.Support the care center in areas to include assisting with record requests, managing the fax inbox, and scanning records.Other duties as assigned.Minimum requirements:High school diploma2+ years experience in medical practice or similar settingAbility to multi-task, organized, and customer serviceWe offer a comprehensive benefits package to our eligible employees:401(k) retirement plans with employer Safe Harbor Non-Elective Contributions of 3%Discretionary profit-sharing contributions of up to 4%Health insuranceEmployer contributions to HSAs and HRAsDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsVoluntary life insuranceVoluntary disability insuranceAccident insuranceHospital indemnity insuranceCritical illness insuranceIdentity theft insuranceLegal insurancePet insurancePaid time offDiscounts at local fitness clubsDiscounts at AT&TAdditionally, Gastro Health participates in a program called Tickets at Work that provides discounts on concerts, travel, movies, and more.Gastro Health is the one of the largest gastroenterology multi-specialty groups in the United States, with over 130+ locations throughout the country.
